Detecting Problems In Infants and Toddlers
|
Is your child performing at age appropriate levels in
these areas?
- Turning
- Talking
- Walking
- Jumping
- Running
- Playing
The list goes on and on. Problems in one or more of these
areas may be signs of developmental delay. If detected
early, many problems may be avoided. Whether they were
born prematurely or with a condition that requires special
attention, children need the support of their family, and
the family needs support of professionals to help their
child. First Step can provide that help and support.
Upon the recommendation of the physician, our Early
Intervention staff can assess the developmental level of
the child and help determine the course of action needed.
The family, First Step and the physician, working together
as a team, can help the child achieve the best possible
results. These services are provided at no cost to the
family in their home or at the center.
