At First Step, our residential program gives adults with
developmental disabilities the freedom of choice that is
so often lacking in long-term care facilities. More
importantly, we help people learn how to depend on
themselves more and others less.
Group homes and individual apartment living are available
for those eligible. Residents receive help with shopping,
cooking, cleaning, budgeting and other daily chores.
The freedom to make simple choices in life is one that
almost everyone takes for granted. We help our adult
clients achieve as much independence as possible. This
helps them develop a greater sense of personal worth and
self-respect.
